Doug is the author of Amazon best seller Beyond Empowerment: The Age of the Self-Managed Organization. He is an organizational change consultant, TEDx and keynote speaker, executive coach, writer, and educator. Doug is also a Forbes Speaker and served as a director with the Association for Talent Development, the world’s largest talent development association with over 40,000 members in 120+ countries. His newest book, "The No-Limits Enterprise", was released by Forbes Books in 2019.

During his earlier business career in the manufacturing sector, Doug was the financial controller and administrator with The Morning Star Company of Sacramento, California, a global leader in the food industry, and a leader in the application of next stage self management approaches to leadership and management practices. He now engages with the Morning Star Self-Management Institute and other vibrant organizations to co-create the future of management.
